Teddy Bears in CHP 1st responder vehicles

When children are separated from injured parents, the 1st responding officer is required to lock them in the backseat of the CHP vehicle while they secure the scene of the accident. These teddy bears provides comfort until the officer returns.

Teaching children charity at an early age

Parents are happy to have a charity where kids can participate and connect with children in need and the children are so excited to be involved. We hope to mold young minds and create a friendly relationship with law enforcement.

Toys for Open Arms Mission in Mexico

Bobby and his friends like to donate the toys they have out grown to the Open Arms Mission in Mexico. We take photos of the toys journey so our kids get to see the happy faces as the children open our hand painted yellow cross boxes.

Meet Bobby

A CHP Super Hero

Bobby, a 7 year old from Alamo, who was concerned that children involved in terrible traffic collisions and traumatic incidents needed to be comforted in a special and thoughtful way. In just three short years Bobby, with the help of some of his great friends (Bobby’s Bandaid Brigade and Pledge to Humanity), has donated over 4,000 teddy bears to the California Highway Patrol. In turn, we carry these new “beat partners” with us in our patrol vehicles to distribute them to children who need a soft friend to feel safe amidst their tragic circumstances, sometimes involving incapacitated parents.

Thanks to your help, Bobby's Brigade has provided a Teddy Bear for every Highway Patrol 1st responder vehicle throughout the state of California each year since 2014.

In 2018 Bobby's Brigade supplied the same Teddy Bears for every Highway Patrol 1st responder vehicle in 5 states: Alaska, Alabama, Arkansas, California, and New York.

We buy in bulk to bring the cost down to $2 per Teddy Bear and shipping and custom fees adds an additional $1.50 per Teddy Bear.
